Join us on October 8, 2020, 2pm – 3:30pm, for the first session of the CEASE Webinar Series, titled “CSEC, Bias, and Litigating Race,” a discussion about how implicit bias affects survivors of the commercial and sexual exploitation of children, and how to use legal tools and resources to confront systemic racism against indigent, Black and brown clients.
The webinar will feature Shomari Ward, Staff Attorney, and Dawne Mitchell, Attorney-in-Charge, of the Juvenile Rights Practice of the Legal Aid Society of New York. Ward and Mitchell will be joined by Georgia Law 3L and former CEASE Intern, Victoria Hicks.
